The farm is set in the heart of the Undercliff in St Lawrence,
an area of outstanding natural beauty. During your stay please wander
freely around the farm and meet some of the ‘Locals’!

There are a good variety of places to eat on the island. A few of
the more local places we recommend are listed below and an ‘Eating
Out on the Island’ Guide can be found in each of our cottages.
We also recommend The Real Island Food Company where you can order local produce on line to be delivered on the day of your arrival.
In St Lawrence itself
The Cricket Club offers a relaxing spot for light lunches and evening
meals.
Steephill Cove has a small café –good for family snacks
and light lunches. The Boat House, a small restaurant on Steephill
Cove has excellent locally caught seafood – however bookings
are essential as it is always popular. In the Botanical Gardens
there is also a café which serves good lunches and teas.
We are also lucky to have a number of friendly, local village pubs
and restaurants within a 5 mile radius- open for lunches and evening
meals

Local Attractions
St Lawrence has a number of interesting places to visit all within
easy walking distance. The Island also has a number of attractions
most within a 30 minute drive of Bank End Farm. A welcome pack in
each of the cottage gives up to date details of all local attractions.
- The exotic Ventnor
Botanical Gardens appealing to both children and adults.
- 12th Century village Church, one of the smallest in England.
- Daily Glass blowing demonstrations at I.O.W. Glass.
- For keen cricketers Ventnor
Cricket Club is worth visiting to enjoy a drink while watching
a game or to enjoy their Sunday lunch carvery.
- Steephill Cove - a sandy safe beach popular with families, selling
fresh seafood caught locally.
- Blackgang
Chine Theme Park is a 15 minute drive away.
- Venture further along the coast to Brook Beach and watch the
windsurfers and Kite Surfers.
